How did this initiative get started?
Greater Miami Chamber knew that to remain relevant they needed to modernize their chamber experience and operations. Realizing they could only accomplish so much with their limited budget and staff, and understanding that all chambers have this same need, they turned to a crowd funding model to collaborate with hundreds of other chambers to accomplish their shared goals.
What exactly is the initiative doing?
Building mobile and web apps that drive growth, bolster retention, modernize the member experience, and improve operational efficiency.
Does this replace WebLink, ChamberMaster, Dynamics or other CRM’s.
No. It improves what you are able to accomplish with your existing tools.

The price to participate is extremely low…what’s the catch?
There is no catch. When you divide the cost by so many participating chambers, this is the result.
When do we pay?
- When you sign on to participate, you are agreeing to pay your share IF / WHEN development starts.
- Once we have enough participating chambers to cover the development cost, we will announce an official development start date. You will be invoiced at that time. Target start date is Jan. 2, 2019.
- If no start date is announced by Mar. 31, 2019, the agreement dissolves and everyone is released of any obligation.
When will Version 1.0 be ready?
Participating chambers will receive an MVP (minimum viable product) within 9 months of the development start date. The MVP contains core functionality of the app that can be rolled out to members. Additional enhancement will be added in months 9– 12 of year 1.
What if Version 1.0 is not ready when promised?
You are entitled to a full refund.
Does the price increase in year 2?
The goal is to continue improving each year and to keep the price extremely low. Assuming the same amount of development happens in year 2 as year 1, you can expect the cost to remain roughly the same. If we decide to develop more in year 2 than in year 1, it could increase…but remember that any increase is divided across all chambers, so it would not be a sharp increase.
What CRM’s will this system integrate with?
We are starting with the most commonly used chamber CRM’s. Please reach out to us at any time and we’ll provide you with the current CRM’s with which we’re integrating.
Who is developing, managing and updating the app?
Greater Miami has partnered with Kinect Consulting to assemble the participating chambers and build the apps. They are a technology branch of Fortune 91 World Fuels Services, and they develop solutions for the most complex, global scenarios you could imagine.
